Remove Stains the Easy Way

Causes
Most stains are caused by improper water balance and/or substances that get into the pool such as metal objects and fertilizers. Your pool water can also contain minerals and metals that lead to stains even when your water is in balance. Sooner or later you will get a stain, and PoolGear Plus can help you get rid of it and keep it from coming back.

Prevention
If stains are a concern for you, PoolGear Plus has the answers.
The first step in prevention in maintaining proper water balance. PoolGear Plus offers Free Computer Water Analysis for your convenience. Test your pool water regularly and call us with the results (Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness and Stabilizer) We will analyze your data and advise you on which chemicals and quantities are needed to keep your pool water balanced.

The second step is to maintain the sequestriant level. This can be accomplished by adding a weekly dose of Super Metal Control, Ultimate Metal Control or ultimate Metal Control Plus. Sequestriants help keep metals and minerals in suspension which keeps them from attaching themselves to your pool surface.

Solutions
There are many different combinations of stains and pool surfaces. Luckily, PoolGear Plus has developed a series of different treatments that can be used to reduce the amount of stains in almost any pool. All solutions start with proper diagnosis.

Stains in pools are like stains on clothes. Some stains can be removed and some cannot. Call PoolGear Plus for clear written instructions and recommended chemicals needed to remove your stains. The total cost of chemicals for an average stain reduction procedure is between $75-$150 which is far less than a typical acid wash.

The stain reduction procedures may also take up to two weeks before satisfactory results are achieved, so don't start a stain reduction procedure unless the pool can go unused for that amount of time. So even though there is nothing fun about stains, the good news is that you now have the experts at PoolGear Plus to share with you over 27 years of experience in taking care of pools and getting rid of stains.
