Smart Seal® Pool Paint

Dura Seal One-Coat Epoxy

The Smart Seal Dura Seal epoxy system cures to a bright tile-like finish and keeps your pool looking new for up to eight years. Smart Seal pool paint is designed for application on bare, sandblasted, or old epoxy surfaces, resists staining and algae growth, and is virtually maintenance-free. It's perfect for use on old plaster instead of replastering!

A pool paint primer is required on bare surfaces before use of Smart Seal Dura Seal pool paint.

Smart Seal Pool Paint - Dura Seal Coverage: 125-150 square feet per gallon. Detemine how much pool paint you need.

After Surface Preparation

Your swimming pool will be water-saturated after cleaning.  If you're using Aqua Seal or Prime It!, you can coat right away.  If you're using Rough Prime, Dura Seal, or SR Pro 7, you must wait until your pool dries completely before application.

Application Tips

  • Follow the application instructions provided on the label.

  • Observe minimum and maximum application temperatures outlined on the label.

  • Do not apply during a hot midday sun.

  • Use a 1/2" nap roller cover with a solvent-resistant core.

  • Use quality handles and rollers.

  • Use a basic rolling technique.

  • Start with the deep-end walls and work toward the shallow end.

  • Prior to filling your pool, always consult the curing schedule outlined on the label.

  • Sprinkle some white silica sand on pool steps for slip-proofing.

Comments about Pool Paint, Smart Seal Pool Paint - Dura Seal One-Coat Epoxy:

I painted the pool in tow days, with variation in temperature that may have caused the paint to dry with two different shades. And because a have a graduation swimming part I have to live with the color as is. Other then that it feels greet, and looks very good, I would recommend the paint, just make sure to get all the prep work done get help and get it done the same day, and you would be happy with the result.

can this paint work on rubber linning

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Unfortunately this product cannot be used over a “rubber” or vinyl lining. Because Zeron is a high solids polyamide epoxy, the solvent is very “hot” and would essentially melt that type surface. Thank you for your question, and please let us know if we can be further assistance!
