The bane of many swimming pool owners' existences, algae is a disgusting-looking black, green, or yellow/mustard growth that makes swimming in, or even looking at, pools extremely unappealing. Algaecides also help clear another common deterrent to swimming pool enjoyment - cloudy water. There are several types of algaecide:

All-in-One Algaecide: An all-in-one algaecide is perfect for both preventing and killing existing black, yellow/mustard, and green algae, as well as clearing up cloudy pool water.

Algaecide Concentrate: A strong, nonmetal-based algaecide aggressively treats algae formation when algae-friendly environmental conditions are more pervasive. Safe to use in gunite, fiberglass, and vinyl pools.

Super Green Algaecide: Metal-based algaecides contain copper for preventing and killing the growth of algae in swimming pools. This aggressive but very effective algae treatment can’t be used when pH or total alkalinity is out of balance or immediately before or after you use pool shock.
