Tear-Aid® is the best industrial-strength vinyl repair patch you can buy. It’s durable, puncture-resistant, flexible, airtight and watertight. This vinyl repair patch protects surfaces against abrasion, moisture, saltwater, UV sun rays and harsh temperatures.
Tear-Aid® vinyl repair patches are known for repairing products like tents, boat covers, boat seats, sleeping bags, auto convertible tops, banners, duffle bags, wind sails, waterbeds, pool floats, pool liners, air mattresses, and more. The list goes on and on.
Tear-Aid comes in two forms – Type A and Type B. Type A is going to feel very sticky compared to Type B but they both have the same adhesion capability.
Tear-Aid Type A sticks to the following fabrics: canvas, plastic, fiberglass, polyurethane, rubber, Sunbrella®, Dacron, polyethylene, aluminum, polyester, Hypalon, Gor-Tex®, nylon, stainless-steel, and polypropylene. Type A will have 90% adhesion when you first place it on the material and 100% adhesion after one hour.
Tear-Aid Type B is made to stick to vinyl and vinyl coated materials ONLY. Type B can be applied underwater to vinyl pool liners. The Type B vinyl repair patch has a unique adhesive that resists the oils in vinyl that cause other adhesives to soften and turn gummy in sunlight. When you first place the Type B vinyl repair patch on the vinyl material it will have 50% adhesion. It will have a full 24 hours to have 100% adhesion to vinyl. Do not pick or peel at the vinyl repair patch until after 24 hours to ensure the vinyl patch is fully cured.
